Expected Goal: Based on 2022, reduce waste output by 5%~10% annually over the next 5 years.
Ruentex’s operations can be categorized into general household waste generated from office buildings and shopping malls, primarily consisting of plastics, polystyrene, waste cooking oil, kitchen waste, and other general waste. Following the “Waste Management Procedures,” we ensure the proper and safe handling of waste generated during operations. Our company entrusts qualified environmental recycling companies with collection and transportation operations. Contracts are signed with these legally registered companies, which are required to comply with the “Standards for Industrial Waste Storage, Removal, and Disposal Methods and Facilities” and other relevant regulations. Collection vehicles must be registered with a removal permit issued by the environmental protection authority. Both parties agree to use the weight recorded on the weighbridge at the disposal site as the basis for reporting, and to accurately report waste generation, removal, and other related information in accordance with environmental laws.

Regarding packaging management, in response to the government’s plastic reduction policy, Ruentex strictly requires its suppliers to comply with regulations and conducts regular audits.

Effectiveness of waste reduction policy
Ruentex’s Zhonghe Branch has achieved remarkable results in implementing the waste reduction policy. In 2023, it was awarded the New Taipei City “Green Circular Store Five-Star Award”, “Source Reduction Model Award” and “Environmental Protection Vanguard Award”.

環境管理當年度執行情形如下：

節能措施：
全公司已逐步汰換為高能效LED照明及省電設備，持續檢討營運據點設備之節能情況，研擬更換節能設備之可行性。於賣場辦公室張貼節能減碳告示、冷凍冷藏設備溫度監控及記錄、於賣場內設立環保標章產品專區。
減紙與數位化管理：
推動電子公文與線上簽核系統，減少紙張印製。提倡紙張回收再利用減少公文用紙量。
減塑及廢棄物分類與回收：
賣場依顧客需求，提供紙箱取代塑膠袋、裸賣蔬果，不過度包裝、以廢紙自製摺紙袋提供顧客包裝代替塑膠袋
設置資源回收站，落實廢棄物分類，塑膠回收、一般垃圾、廚餘、廢油等分類。委託合格廠商處理，確保符合廢棄物清理法規要求。
剩餘食材與員工分享、晚間八點後出清蔬菜、熟食等及降價出售醜蔬果，不予丟棄
環境教育與宣導：
宣導員工用餐儘量使用環保杯及環保餐具、於賣場內張貼限塑告示、推行環保購物優惠活動-環保杯等、鼓勵員工以實際行動落實永續理念。
